Caitlin Lonegan (b. 1982, Long Island, NY) is a Los-Angeles based painter whose recent body of work explores the interplay between light, time, space and perception. Lonegan’s atmospheric, abstract paintings feature overlapping color fields in oil paint with some metallic and iridescent pigments, creating the illusion of an ever-changing surface. In her work, Lonegan investigates varying perceptions and memories of light as it changes over time and moves through spaces, both familiar and imagined.
