In her work, Jessica Westhafer explores psychosocial experiences that tap into collective memory. Through her deceptively playful form of figuration, Westhafer creates scenes that ‘invent, reimagine, and immortalize’ idealized or fictitious narratives. Westhafer is interested in how society glorifies the past, especially objects and moments from childhood and adolescence. 

For the Independent Art Fair, Westhafer will debut a suite of new paintings that continue her investigation into the importance of these formative moments.
